Meet Oliver!
Oliver is a 9-year-old boy with CdLS who brings light, energy, and kindness wherever he goes. He is the 2025 Team CdLS Chicago Event Ambassador!
He lives in the western suburbs of Chicago with his family: Molly (mom), Andrew (dad), Isaac (older brother), Chad and Chloe (dogs).
Ollie has a missense mutation on his NIPBL gene and generally presents mildly.
When he does encounter struggles, like epilepsy or inadequate support at school, he responds with bravery, resilience, and patience.
Ollie teaches his family and friends how to treat everyone with kindness and find joy in every situation. He makes friends everywhere he goes and often runs into people he knows that the rest of his family has yet to meet.
We are especially grateful for our friends who recognize Ollie for who he is: 9-year-old boy with unique traits, just like everyone else.
