Host a Fundraiser
The CdLS Foundation is here to help and guide you in your fundraising efforts. The Foundation has developed a number of tools and templates for different types of fundraising events. We encourage you to use these tools and welcome your feedback about new tools and templates to develop for the future.
The Foundation can also help you with media contacts and template press releases to generate interest in local TV and newspaper coverage.
For your event, staff can provide brochures, pamphlets, and other informational materials, promoting and explaining CdLS. Please let us know your needs in this area as soon as possible so we can have sufficient quantities for your event.
Turn a birthday, wedding or other celebration into an occasion to ask friends and family to donate to the Foundation. We now offer a free, quick and easy way to do so.
Bringing together a large number of people for golf, food, prizes, and contests may seem like a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to be difficult. Golf tournaments are high-profile, and often very lucrative, fundraisers. You don’t need to be an experienced golfer to organize one. All it takes is some advance planning and basic guidelines to make it a memorable event.
What better way to raise money than to organize a special wine-tasting fundraiser? Whether your audience includes casual wine consumers or die-hard aficionados, most people will be excited to learn more about local wines, as well as those from regions around the world. Attention to detail, a strong working committee and devoted volunteers will ensure that your event is a huge success. Wine not your thing? Then consider a beer tasting.
Helping children with CdLS was the inspiration behind the first-ever Motorcycle Ride for CdLS, which took place in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area in 2010. Organized by several area families, it provided the framework for future benefit rides in Minnesota and across the country.
There are many other ways to support the Foundation:
- Bake sales
- Bicycle ride
- Car washes
- Dinner dances
