My name is Aimee Schiferl. I was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago. I graduated from Loyola University Chicago in December 2020. I have been living and working in Chicago since. I am a tax accountant and had a  busy season where I did not see the light of day for a few months. When I am not working, you can find me at the gym, snuggling with my dog Al, or in my bed watching Grey’s Anatomy.

When lockdown began in March 2020, I picked up running as a hobby. I have always been pretty active, but this was the first time I took on running. Since then, I has run in a few local 5Ks and even completed the Chicago Half Marathon last September.

I am fairly new to this, and I find it can be challenging to get my rhythm! I love listening to Coach Bennett’s guided runs through the Nike Running app. I worked at Nike for three years throughout high school and college so Nike has a special place in my heart. This is my first time partnering to raise money for a nonprofit, so I am a bit of a newbie.

As a child, I was most often compared to Jodie Sweetin particularly when it came to her blonde curls and sass on Full House. I grew up in the early 2000s, and my wardrobe definitely resembled that. Lots of Uggs, Juicy Track Suits, and yoga pants. It has been interesting watching those trends cycle back in.
