On October 5, 2024, the Schilling family hosted their 2nd annual Aubrie’s Army event to raise funds and awareness for the Cornelia de Lange Syndrome (CdLS) Foundation. CdLS is a rare genetic spectrum disorder that causes a broad range of potential physical, cognitive, and medical challenges.

The Schilling family raised over $18,000 – $1,000 over their goal, from the event for the CdLS Foundation in honor of their daughter, Aubrie. At 15 months old, Aubrie was diagnosed with CdLS. Her mom Leslie Schilling said over 100 people supported the fundraiser with over 50 auction item baskets, as well as a 50/50 cash raffle.

“It was a beautiful fall day and an all-around amazing event!” Schilling said.  I am so thankful for our village, who created some beautiful baskets and helped with the setup and takedown of the event!”

The event this year also included a 1-mile fun run and a kids table with inclusive coloring pages and games.
