My name is Jane and I am is running in the 2022 Chicago Marathon as part of Team CdLS in honor of my sister Julie, who has Cornelia de Lange Syndrome (CdLS), and to support the CdLS Foundation. CdLS is a rare genetic syndrome present from birth, which causes a range of physical, cognitive, and developmental challenges. It affects all genders and ethnicities equally.

The CdLS Foundation, an award-winning nonprofit, is the only organization in the United States dedicated to CdLS and is the world leader in CdLS research, discovery, and support. The CdLS Foundation exists to ensure early and accurate CdLS diagnosis; to promote research into the causes and manifestations of the syndrome, and to help those with CdLS and their families to make informed decisions throughout their lives. By donating to my marathon run, you will be helping to fund the CdLS Foundation and the important work that they do for people like my sister Julie.

Thank you for your support!
