Earlier this month, the Bynum family raised funds and awareness for Cornelia de Lange Syndrome (CdLS) through a biking, skating, and “anything with wheels” event in Licht Park, MI.
The fundraiser, “Rolling for Paige,” honored Paige Bynum. Paige was diagnosed with CdLS, a rare genetic spectrum disorder, after undergoing open-heart surgery at just five months old. Over her 18 years, she has had more than 15 surgeries and continues to navigate developmental and health challenges related to CdLS.
Paige’s family said she couldn’t stop smiling and did not want the event to end.
Family and friends gathered with their bikes, roller blades, and anything with wheels. Pastries and custom T-shirts were available for sale. Together, they raised awareness and over $500 for the CdLS Foundation.
