On August 16, Cornelia de Lange Syndrome (CdLS) Foundation Board Member Mike Feehan raised over $45,000 during his annual Backyard Obstacle Course in honor of his son Connor, 17, who has CdLS.

Since Connor was a year old, Feehan has participated in various “runs”, including the Broadstreet Run, Merrill Down, and Dirty Mud Run, and the Philadelphia MuckFest Mud Run, to raise money for the CdLS Foundation. A new idea was born from the ashes of the pandemic: a backyard obstacle course that Connor and other family members could participate in. This was Feehan’s 16th year of fundraising. He continues to meet ambitious fundraising goals each year with the support and help of families and friends from the CdLS community.

“Having a child with special needs is hard. It requires a different level of patience. It creates a different level of anxiety. It runs your emotions to extremes. It can be lonely,” Feehan said. “I am raising money for the Foundation, a charity that has greatly benefited Connor, our family, and many other CdLS families around the country.”

Feehan is dedicated to raising awareness and helping support the Foundation in its research and family assistance.

“I am so grateful for all of your generosity over the past years,” he said of the support.

The obstacle course was a family only/private event that took place in the Feehan backyard, everyone who was there had a great time. If you would like to support Mike, Connor and the CdLS Foundation, please go to https://givebutter.com/cdls_feehan25
