30th Anniversary Charity Golf Tournament to Benefit Individuals with Rare Disorder

The Cornelia de Lange Syndrome (CdLS) Foundation, a national nonprofit family support organization, will hold its 30th Annual CdLS Charity Golf Tournament at the Tapawingo National Golf Course
Sunset Hills, MO, on October 8, 2018. CdLS is a rare genetic disorder that causes a variety of physical, cognitive and developmental disabilities.

Golfers will enjoy 18 holes of golf, lunch, dinner and opportunities to win both skill and door prizes. There will be volunteers on hand for the day’s event, including local families, staff from the Foundation and individuals with CdLS. Last year’s CdLS Charity Golf Tournament raised over $54,000 for the CdLS Foundation. Since 1989, the tournament has netted over $714,000 to help people with CdLS and their families live better, fuller lives.

Each year, committee members, which includes Madison County Wood Products’ (MCWP) Jim and Bryan Kesting and Jim Morton, Pallet Logistics Managements’ (PLM) Steve Snodsmith and Cheri Colby, host the event in honor of MCWP’s Vice President, Doug Gaines’, daughter, Amber, who has CdLS.
