Families benefit from coordinated, comprehensive care supported by dedicated genetic counselors and administrative staff committed to a seamless experience.
World-Renowned Leadership
Our program is led by Dr. Ian Krantz, M.D., an internationally recognized authority on CdLS with over 20 years of experience building and leading the CdLS Center at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Dr. Krantz brings unparalleled clinical expertise and a deep commitment to this community to Northwell Health.
Advancing CdLS Research
Through the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research, our team conducts original research focused on biomarker development and new therapeutic strategies for CdLS. We contribute to national registries, collaborative datasets, and biobanking efforts — including data and samples from approximately 2,000 individuals with CdLS gathered over decades of research. Our research is driven by one goal: better outcomes and quality of life for every individual with CdLS.
We welcome collaboration with clinicians and researchers. Contact us to discuss referrals, joint research initiatives, or data sharing opportunities.
Partnering with Families
We believe families are essential partners in care. We work closely with the CdLS Foundation’s Family Services team and are committed to providing resources, education, and support every step of the way.
Sometimes you find your soul mate in the most unexpected place. My soul mate came in a small but mighty package. It was an instant bond between Grace and I and we were inseparable and instantly more than best friends. My life was completed the day I met Grace. I never knew I could love another person so much and receive the equal amount of love in return from her. I would have, and did, do anything possible to make Grace happy. She was my whole world and will always be my everything. We will Forever and always be soul mates because our bond was developed long before we even met on this Earth. I believe our souls were created to be with each other. I can’t wait for the day I get to hold her and hug her again.
Grace had a way bringing joy into all the lives of those who got the opportunity to know her. She was fun and full of energy. She was always ready to play and create chaos wherever she would go. Once you met Grace there was no way you could ever forget her. She had a way of making people fall in love with her. She was amazing and she changed the lives of so many people who loved her. Meeting Grace changed my life and I am so grateful for the love and bond I got to share with her and the opportunity I got to watch her grow and accomplish so many things.
Grace adored singing and listening to books. She had a wild soul and had everyone wrapped around her finger. She loved going for rides in the wagon and jumping around outside. She would roll around in the grass and giggle like crazy. She had a great sense of humor and loved teasing others. She was smart and a fun friend for all who took time to get to know her.
