CdLS Remembrance Day
Losing a loved one with CdLS at any age can be life-altering. Parents, siblings, relatives and friends feel tremendous loss and many times have a difficult time understanding why. It is so important that we as a community surround them with support and unconditional love. Although they have lost their child, grandchild or sibling – they still belong and will forever be part of our journey.
February 12th is CdLS Remembrance Day.
The CdLS Foundation knows there are many families in the community who are struggling. There are many ways the community can support families and friends who have lost someone with CdLS.
“Not a day goes by that I don’t think of my son, David, who died at age 30. It is so nice when others make comments about him. Having a special day to remember him gives me a chance to share him with the world.”
-Cindy Connellan
Ways to Participate:
CdLS Angels Facebook Group
This group is a wonderful place to be open, to talk about how you handle the grief process, and get support from people who have walked in your shoes.
Remembrance Day Facebook Frame
Each year, the CdLS Foundation creates a Facebook frame commemorating all the individuals with CdLS who have died. We ask the community change their Facebook frame to the Day of Remembrance frame in support of the many individuals who are no longer with us.
Lights of Love
Every year, Team Nikki, hosts the virtual “Lights of Love” event. It is an extra special way to commemorate the amazing lives of EACH and EVERY CdLS angel that has gained their wings and touched our souls.
