Testicle (retracted)

Is it common for a testicle to retract? Has this been heard of with CdLS? Is it the same recommended course of treatment as an undescended testicle to have surgery? Are the risk factors the same (infertility, cancer)?

Sometimes a testicle will retract back into the inguinal canal. As long as you can manually bring it down and palpate it, it should be ok and not have an increased risk for cancer. If it cannot be brought down manually, it would likely need surgical treatment. I think this is a risk of being a male, not necessary associated with CdLS. It would be a question for a pediatric surgeon, ideally.
