Reflux

Question: Our daughter has had a Nissen and Fundo done at 6 months of age; she is now 27. She had an endoscopy done around 10 years ago, which showed reflux, which is why she is on omeprazole. Is an endoscopy recommended regularly to check for reflux or any other conditions? She still has her g-tube, through which we administer medication. She eats orally. She sometimes bends as if she is in pain. As she is non-verbal, it is hard to know what is wrong.”

Answer: I think a follow-up endoscopy would be reasonable at this point.
