Medication Potency
Can medications lose their potency over time?
All medicines lose their potency on the shelf after some time. They are dated, and should not be used after that time.
Some medicines seem to lose their effectiveness in a patient after prolonged usage. Sometime the effect remains, but the side effect subsides. Sometimes medication interactions make it appear that the original medication is no longer working.
