CdLS Awareness Activities are generally events held to educate the public about Cornelia de Lange Syndrome. An awareness activity may, but does not necessarily have to, involve fundraising.
Some examples of Awareness Activities include:
- An interview with the media (newspaper, television, radio)
- A presentation or speech to an organization, club or group
- A display at a fair, festival, store, or school
- A golf tournament benefiting CdLS

CdLS Gatherings are organized events held to unite families with CdLS. A gathering can consist simply of five or six families or can be as elaborate as a national conference/congress.
Some examples of Gatherings include:
- A picnic for local families to group together and share experiences in someone's backyard
- A clinic day with professional consultations
- A congress with seminars and consultations held at a national institute of health, medicine or rare diseases

CdLS Fundraising Events can be a tremendous method for raising awareness and funds to help find and serve children with CdLS. With
help from Foundation staff, you can plan, organize and host a variety of events that will energize and unite your community to advance our mission.
Some examples of Fundraising Events include:
- Golf tournaments
- 5K Walk/Run
- Bake Sales
- Swim-a-thons
- Car Wash
- Dinner Dances
- Marathons
- Hosting a Home Parties (ie: Pampered Chef, Tupperware, Partylite Candles, Longaberger)
